CARNIVAL TOURNAMENT The One-Day Tournament .held by the Taupo Golf Club on Tuesday, December 30th. attracted more entries than ever before, representatives of more tihan 25 clubs from Otago to North Auckland, taking part in the day's play. The winners were as follows: — * Best iSenior Gross Score, Mr R. Halsey, Mangakino, 70, handicap 5. Best Nett score, senior, Mr P. H. Brown, Taupo, 77, 12-65. Best Jiinior Gross Score, Mr E. Iles, Tauranga, 77, 15-62. Best Junior Nett Score, Mr R. Beale, Taupo, 88, 21-67. On the eount back from Mr N. Gibson, North Shore, 87, 20-67 and Mr 0. Wright, Taupo, 86, 1&-67. The Men's Fourball Bogey was won by Dr P. Fox, and Mr P. Sheehan? Titirangi, with a score of 8 up and the Mixed Fourball, by Mrs King and Mr J. Longstaff, Hastings, 4 up. The Men's Driving- Competition was won by Mr A. Mitchell, Titirangi, and t»he Men's Approaehing by Mr I. Deadman, of Springfield, Rotorua, Mrs King won the Ladies Driving, and Mrs Colbeck the Ladies Approaehing . As a result of the Tournament — over £40 will be paid to the Taupo War Memorial Hall Fund.
