CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING

GUN CLUB FORMED At a meeting held in Taupo last Friday week to organise a club to foster clay-bird shooting — a previous club expired in 1S32 — the foLlowing officers were elected: — President, R. S. Cosson. Secretary, Mr I. G. G. Potts. Treasurer, Mr G. S. Fraser. Committee: Messrs R. L. Roband, T. G. Price, G. G. Potts, C. Vedder and R. Sinclair. Permission has been obtained to I use the site — opposite the Taupo Bowling Club — used by the former Club, where a "trap" already exists. The first competitive shoot will be held on Sunday, January 4th., when 50% of the net profits will be donated to the War Memorial Hall Fund. The name of the Club is the Tauhara Gun, . Club, and the membership subzscription is 10/- per annum in addition to insurance costs.
