TAUPO DRAMATIC SOCIETY
A special meeting of the Taupo Dramatic Bociety was held on Tuesday of last week for the purpose of adopting the constitution of the society and finalising outstanding details for the production of "Blithe Spirit." Thanks to the careful consideration given to the draft constitution prepared by the committeo the business of the meeting was speedily concluded. After a brief talk by Mr Arnolr] Goodwin, guest producer to the Society, on the subject of administration problems in Taupo as he saw them, an impromtu play reading was given of "The Charwoman'a Daughter,, in which parts were taken bv Mesdames €. F. Sherley, J Booth, Misses K. Scott and Y. Sharp and Messrs A. Goodwin and C. R. Leslie. After three weeks of evening reIiearsals for the Christmas production of "Blithe Spirit" the players are becoming more familiar with their parts and week-end rehearsals are now commencing. Interviewed last week-end Mr Goodwin stated that he was most satisfied with the progress of the cast.
