NEW DOMAIN CAMP

PROGRESS AT OLD ORClHARD The installation of a water supply at the Town Board's Old Orchard Camp was commeneed on Monday by Mr George Beale, Taupo Machinery Exchange. Water from the Waikato River is to be supplied to the camp from an automatic electric powered high pressure tank systern. Messrs L. and R. Davis are making good progress with the erection of the kitchen and ablution block. This building has the kitchen in the central position, with the ablution rooms for men and women at either end, and is bui.lt according to plans approved by the Automobile Association. Good progress is also being made with the erection of the : sanitary conveniences and the installation of the septic tank. The letter, which will be suffieient in size for future expansion in the number of conveniences, has been designed by the Health Department. 4k Mr J. Story, Town Board cha-ir-man, states that it is expected to have the Old Orchard camp in use shortly before Christmas. A good take of grass has been secured, and the camp area is looking very attractive. Easy access from the Camp to the Wharf Reserve will be available as soon as the new road along the river bank is completed by the Ministry of Works.
