The golt season proper at Taupo was brought to a conclusion with a social gathering and prize giving at the links on October 26. The above picture shows the scene at the prize giving, a pleasant duty discharged by Mrs L. Cheal, wife of the president, behind whom she is hidden. In the middle distance the back slapping is a fraternal gesture on the part of Mr C. R. Vedder toward one of the winners, Mr C. Redwood, who partnered him in the four-ball bogey match played that morning.
