TAUPO GOLF CLUB

VISITORS FROM ROTORUA Sixteen men from the Rotorua Golf Club visited Taupo on Sunday, November 9th., and played a friendly match against the Taupo Club. Although there had been heavy rain mest oi: the week, the course had been cut and was in excellent order. Taupo won by 10 matches to 6. The results of the matches were as follows: — Morning (Taupo names first): Rameka and E. S. Smith lost to Hill and Vickers; Young and Miles beat D. Smith and Wright; Brown and Cheal defeated Bird and Leyland; Woodward and Pearse lost to Hay and Watts; Hullten and ■Sherning lost to Prichard and Watters; Vedder and Wright beat Meek and McKenzie; Mills and Beale beat L. Smith and Lloyd; George (alone) beat Edwards and McDonald.

In the afternoon Rameka and Smith lost to Hill and Vickers; Young and Miles lost to D. Smith and Wright; Brown and Cheal defeated Bird and Leyland; u Wppd^ ward and Pearse lost to Watts and Hay; Robinson and Hullten beat Prichard and Watters; Potts and Collett beat Meek and McKenzie; Mills and Beale beat W. Smith and • Lloyd; George (alone) lost to EdWards and McDonald. A Staibleford Bogey, played in the morning was won by L. Cheal with 40 points and another in the afternoon by J. Woodward with 37 points.
