MOTUTERE BAY
Motutere Bay, on the eastern shore of the lake between Waipehi and Waitetoko, has in recent years become a popularr pamping area. The number of campers using the area has become so great that it has been obvious that provision of proper sanitary conveniences and some measure of control and oversight. were urgently needed. In a recent summer there was a warning outbreak of dysenteiry among children in the camping area. The Government has nowT set aside several acres in the area for a motor camp, where ablution blocks, wash houses and conveniences will be erected and a caretakerJs house built. A local domain board will be set up later to control the camp. ...
