TAUPO TENNIS CLUB

The Taupo Tennis Club will be losing a valued president and tennis player in Mr Stirange when he leaves Taupo for Taihape next week. Mr Strange has been a great help and the Club wishes him luck in his new position. The patron, Mr Baumberg, will now act as president. At a committee meeting held on November 9th, Mr D. Baker was elected club captain. It was also decided that intending members interested in family concessions or casual concessions should get in touch with the secretary, Miss B. Walters, at the Taupo Distiict High School. For the past few weeks a lot of tennis has been held up through uncertain weather. It is hoped that club matches will begin as soon as the weather breaks. Thanks are due to Mr P. Silva for his donation of 10/- to the club.
