WAR MEMORIAL HALL

BUILDING TENDER ACCEPTED The Taupo Town Board has accepted the tender of Mr L. M. Ward for the erection of the War Memorial Hall, the figure being £14,850. The amount at present in hand and available, however, is £10,000 only. The balance is being raised per medium of a carnival sponsored by the War Memorial Hall Assofiation, augmented by donations to the fund as published in the Taupo Times, and will be required by IMarch. Arangements have been made with the contractor on this basis in ord- , er that the work may go forward without delay, and also for Mr Ward to confer with the architect regarding certain adjustments in the specifications.
