TUWHARETOA RURAL FIRE COMMITTEE
The Tuwharetoa Rural Fire Committee's annual meeting was held in the New Zealand Forest Service Office, Taumarunui, on Wednesday, October 22nd. Present: P. A, Grace (chairman), T. A. Grace, S. A. C. Darby, B. B. Maud, A. Bowick, L. J. Brooker, P. J. Hura Members. Alson present were. A. M. Kirk, Principal Fire Officer, and Assistant Fire Offiicers: A. Mariu and W. Tamaira. Previous Annual Meeting Minutes were formally confirmed. Report and Accounts for the finaneial year just ended were duly dealt with and formally adopted. Business arising out of the reports, (Chairmans' and Principal Fire Officers') occupied some time at this stage for due consideration. Accounts were passed for payment and estimates for the current financial year, dealt with at some length, were adopted. It was resolved that the next quarterly meeting of the Committee be held at Tokaanu. After dealing with general matters, the meeting closed.
