The extraordinary general meeting of the Taupo R.S.A. convened for Quesday, October 14th., lapsed for want of a quorum. Andrew's Anglican Church on condition that the Church Committee undertook to remove the trees. » * ★ Rapid progress is being made with the reticulation of the district for the transmission of electricity from Hatepe. The wiring of the main transmission line is almost up to ihe furthest advaiiced poles from the Power House. Completion' appears to be well in sight. ★ By way of correction, the list of officers and executive of the Taupo Girls Marching Association, which got rather muddled in our last is'sue, is as follows: — President, Mr J. Storey; Vice-President, Mr W. J. Stevens; Secretary, Mrs K. Reid; Treasurer, Mrs J. W. Peart; Committee, Mrs J. Woodward, Miss A. Wehringo, Miss R. Anchor, Mr J. R. Osborne, and Mr G. Bonner. ,
