ESCAPED PRISONER CAPTURED
Residents in the Taupo Country i will be relieved to learn, as reportj ed in the daily press, that Alfred Hicks Howeli, aged 35, was arrested at*Te Araroa early this morning by Constable B. J. W. Simpson. He had been at uiberty for about two | montns after escaping from Rangit po prison camp, near Taumarunui. Howeli had been serving a 12 months, sentence for unlawful conversion of a car. He appeared in the Police ' Court at Ruatoria eharged with having escaped from custody on July 20 and was renanded to appear at Napier
