STRAY HORSE NUISANCE
Sir, I would be obliged if you could give space to the following lines in your paper. Spring* has come. Our lawns are geen, but^ with this the old nuisance has come back — the stray borses. Not the wild on,es? which gallop during the nights along the avenues and roads and find the chains closed, but the tame creatures, which do not get enough tq eat at home and stroll along, and when you come home, are having a feast on your lawns. I would grant tliem these meals, but there are daffodils and roses and pansies in my garden and if I shout and ehase them, they do not mind whero their heavy hoofs tread on. Even bi anches and blossoms from the fruit trees they ibreak, and fLrom silvei birches too. Don't you ngree vith me, that those who want to have a horse, should see that they can't stray . I am tired of these unwelcome visitors. I am, etc.,
