The fifth. round of the Presidenta Trophy was played on Sunday, September 14 when several good scores werb handed in Y. Wilson headed the list with a 75, 10-65, and 0. Wright came next with a 90, 22-68. The other good scores were P. Brown 84, 12-7., D. Neame 84, 12-72, A. Collett 85, 13-72, J.. Woodward 86, 14-72, C, Vedder 93, 20-73, K. Young 84, 10-74; D. Milis 94, 20-74 and S. Neame 88, 13-75. iSeveral championship matehes were played during the week-end. In the senior championship, A.. M. Smith beat A. Grabam, at 21st.; K. Rameka beat L. Stephenson, 1 up; D. Neame beat V. Wilson, t up. In the junior championship, S.. Neame beat F. Sherning and J, Woodward beat H. Hullten. The ladies played a bogey match on Thursday, September 19th. The best scores were Miss Orr 6 down, Miss Branson 7 down, Mrs Bush S down. On Sunday, September 28th. the fourth and last round of the Neame Trophy will be played. Four members pf the Taupo Clufo have been playing in outside tourna^ents recently. Mr L. Cheal and Mr W. T. Irvine played in the Wairarapa Open Tournament. Both qualified in the Pukeora Flight — which Mr Irvine succeeded in winning. Errol Smith and Davkt Neame played in the Hutt Valley. Junior Tournament. Smith qualified in the second 16, but was piit but in the first round of match play.
