Sir, — Referring to your leading artiele last week on the prison bus i escape, this is gratifying evidence that we must have a good strong Plunket baby in our Taupo Times. This lusty eight-months-old infant (probabjy the youngest newspaper in the Dominion) has made itself heard throughout the land (for it travels to England, Scotland, Canada, Australia and U.S.A., as well as all over New Zealand). In the cause of decency and respect for law and order, I for one am grateful to yotf, Sir, for giving such admirable expression of revulsion and distaste at the recent glamourising in the daily press of escaped prisoners on their recapture. — I am, etc..
