MAJESTIC THEATRE
A Series Of Thrilis Sensational thrilis are the highlights of the attractions to be screened at the Majestic Theatre in Taupo this week. The series start off this (Wednesday) evening with a Columbia feature, "In a Lonely Place, *' with Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Graeme in the leading roles of a romantic drama with a murder plot, police investigations and the consequent strain upon the lives of two people. I For Friday there is listed a double feature, "Convicted," unique in the. ; fact that the two leading stars are I xnen — Glenn Ford and Broderick Crawford. This is a drama of prisoh life, and the characters are really tough. Bracketed to this feature is a Western, in which Duncan Renaldo plays the part of the Cisco Kid in the story of "The Valiant Hombre." | Saturday patrons will be presented with a vivid Technicolor film, "The Sundowners," a story of the Ameri- , can West, a cattle raneh pestered by Irustlers, and the war that e'nsues to get rid of them. The stars are Robert Preston, Chill Wills, and Robert Sterling, with Cathie Downs the solitary woman in the cast. The production serves also to introduce John Barrymore junior.
