THE NEAME TROPHY The third rcvund of the Neame Trophy was played on Sunday, August 17 when rome very good scores were retumed. U This trophy is for the best three out of four stableford bogey rounds and as there are several piayers with good scores in, there will be great interest in the fourth round. The scores for the third round were: — V. Wilson 34, J. Miles 32, H. Hullten 32, R. Beale, L. Cheal 31, K. Young 30, A. Graham 30, J. Brown 29, E. Smith 29. The final of the Patron's Trophy was played on Sunday morning, when Mr and Mrs Hullten defeated Mrs Vedder and V. Wilson, 5 and 4. In the af ternoon the ladies played some Winter Cup matches, with the following results: — Mrs Hullten beat Mrs Young, S and 5; Miss Branson beat Mrs Hullten 4 and 3; Miss Branson beat Mr Y oung 4 and 3. On Thursday, August 21st. the ladies played Fourball Bogey, the best scores being: — Mrs Cheal and Mrs Colbeck 1 down; Mrs Hullten and Mrs Falkner, 3 down; Mrs Young and Mrs Collett, 4 down; Mrs Douglas and Miss Orr, 6 down.
