MAJESTIC THEATRE
"ANNIE GET YOUR GUN" I The film features for this week at the majestic Theatre in Taupo include the celebrated M.G.M. Star hit in technicolour "Annie Get Your Gun," which is scheduled for two screenings on Saturday — matinee at 2 p.m. and the usuai evening show. The story is based on an Irving Berlin theme, and the presentation enhanced with ten of the composers musical hits. Starfc in the production are Betty Hutton, Howard Keel and Louis Calhern. For this >(Wednesday) evening, there is to be the "Jungle Boy" film, "Bomba on Panther Island," with the African iforest as the setting for the story, and with Johnny Sheppheixl, Lila Bonan, and Oharles Irwin in the leading roles. Friday's programme is a double feature attraction, with a poignant drama "Forgotten Women/ 'starring Elyse Knox, Edna Norris and Robert Shayne in the cast. The story is based on the folly of women who unwisely seek distraction from the strain of domestic worries in foolish relaxations. "Indian Territory," a realistic Western feature, is the companion fixturq, a feature o!f which is the appearance of U.S. Cavalrymen as an incident of the story. This is a Gene Autry film, with the wonder horse "Champion," as one of the stars. Others in the cast are Gail Davis, Kirby Grant, James Griffiths, and Pat Buttram. The management of the Majestie express regret that owing to a miscarriage of arrangements they were unable to present last week the feature film "Private Angelo." The report reached them too late to effect a change in the programme as advertised in the TIMES.
