MR HERBERT GRADWELL

We regret to record the death last week of Mr "Bert" Gradwell, aged 36. The deceased, who was a brother of Mr Fred Gradwell, a very old resident of Taupo, was born at Makaretu, Hawke's Bay, and settled in Taupo in 1919, following his orothei Fred, who came here in 1911. T' o la.te Mr Gradwell was acfci-7-3 and industrious up to a eompaxatively recent period when overcakm by his illness, and was much laspccted in the community. He is survived by his widow, a son (Mr Jack Gradwell, of Hamilton), and three daughters, all married— Mrs Edna Collett (Taupo), Mrs Marjorie Brett (Auckland), and Mrs Betty Withers (Titirangi). The funeral took place on Saturday.
