A small but energetic working bee of members of the Businessmen's and Ratepayer's Associations commenced work last Thursday on the prepar*fion of the Playground at the chosen site in the camping ground The first part of the required work, narnely, the removal of an existing fence and the setting out of the strainers and posts for the new boundary of the play area was comnleted. Unfortunately rain then intervened and members were treated to afternoon tea as the guests of the Taupo Milk Bar. 1 Next Thursday it is intended to finish the fence and continue with the general work of clearing, and it is hoped that a larger band of volunteers will attend to enable this most worthy project to he quickly completed.
