MAJESTIC THEATRE

Extra Matinee For Big Feature The big feature of this week*s attractions at the Majestic Theatre is famous M.G.M. adventure-romance in technicolor, "King Solomon's Mines," which was filmed entirely in the wilds of Africa, the natural setting for the story. In order that children may have an opportunity of seeing the film, a special matinee has been arrangecl for Saturday afternoon, commencing at 2.15 p.m., in addition to the usual evening screening the same day. The story is based on the celebrated novel by Rider Haggard, with Deborah Kerr as Elizabeth Curtis, and Stewart Granger as Allan Quartermain. Also in the cast is Richard Carlson. For tonight's entertainment (Wednesday), there is to be presented the Paramount feature, "Sunset Roulevard," (for aduits only), starring William Holden, Gloria Swanson and Erich von Stroheim. This is described by the New York Times' critic as a powerdul story of am&itions aiid frustrations that combine to make life in the cardboad city: so fascinating to the outside world. "Sunset Boulevard,, is a great motidn picture. Friday evening's attraction is ihe Universal production "F^n^hbe," ;, in technicolor, a cracker-jack W esteim romantic drama starring Joel McCrea and Shelley Winters. The key to the plot is the fact that the herb is tough, and the heroine is tameless. I ought to be good.
