WAR MEMORIAL HALL
MEETING TO DISCUSS WAYS AND MEANS The following eircular letter has been addressed by the Committee of the Taupo R.S.A., in futhering the campaign to raise additional funds for tne War Memorial Hall and R.S.A. Club Rooms, to the various institutions in the town and district: You are no doubt aware that at a. Public Meeting held on Friday the 6th. June, 1952 (with reference to the building of tbe above Hall) it was carried by a large majority that the original Plans of the Hall should be carried out in its entirety. At that meeting, no arrangements were made as to how the additional £2,000 to £3,000 was to be raised. As nearly 6 weeks have passed since the Public Meeting and the question of ways and means has still to be gone into. My association feels that as no other Society or Organisation has made a move to implement the feelings of the Meeting, it is our duty to give a lead. We therefore ask you to be good enough to nominate two members of your Organisation to attend a meeting at Riekit's Hall on THURSDAY, 24th. July, at 8 p.m. to discuss ways and means and set up a Provisional Committee. Thanking you in anticipation of your compliance with our requesL Yours Sincerely,
(Signed)
