The second round of the Neame Trophy was played on July 6, and was won by E. M. Smith on 11 handicap, with 38 points. The other scores were: R. D. Falkner (7), 33; P. Brown (12), 32; S. Neame (13), 31; K. Rameka (9), 30; J. Woodward (14), 30; D. Neame (13), 30; R. Sinclaire (24), 29'; A. Graham (6), 28; W. D. Mills (20), 28; N. George (24), 28; C. Vedder (20), 28; A. Collett (13), 27; H. Hiellteu (18), 27; K. Young (10), 27; F. Sherning (18), 26; L. E. Pearse (18), 26. The ladies played a captain versus secretary teams match on Thursday, July 10. Great interest was taken in the matches, the results of which, are as under (captain's team mentioned first): — Miss Branson beat Mrs Hullten. Miss McKelvie beat Mrs Douglas. Mrs Colbeck beat Miss On*. Mrs Bush lost to Mrs Graham. Mrs Falkner beat Mrs Collett. Mrs Wilson lost to Mrs Peacocke. On July 20, the Tauhara Cup will be played. Players choose their own partners and are drawn for opponents. The match is of one round, Fourball Medal Aggregate.
