TWO SMALL FIRES

Two small fires which were promptly dealt with by the Fire Brigsae, and pre^eu+ed f^om bec uning more serious, broke out in Taupo on Thursday evening of last week. A garage in temporary use as a dwelling by Mr Luke Pitiroi, at Nukuhau, pending the completnn of his permanent residence, was partially destroyed. Trouble with a lighting plant resulted in an outbreak at the residence of Mr J. A. Smith, taxi proprietor, Kaimanawa Street. This was extinguished without difficulty.
