TAUPO GOLF CLUB

The Taupo golf course was well patronised on Sunday, June 1, when visitors and local golfers played a Mixed Fourball Bogey. Weather conditions were unpleasant but did not appear to effect the standard of golf, and the match was won by Mr and Mrs Hulten, who were two up on Bogey. The next best score was that of Miss Orr and E. Ryan who were one up. • On Monday a mixed Fourball Stableford Bogey Matdh was played, and for the first time for many weeks there was no rain and conditions were very pleasant. The match was won by Mrs K. Young and F. Shernjng with a score of 37 points, while Mr and Mrs 'Gardiner and Mr and Mrs Hulten tied for second place with 36 points. A Bogey match played by the ladies on June 5th. was won by Mrs K. Young, 7 down, Miss Branson 8 down, Mrs Hulten 10 down and Miss McKelvie 11 down . On Bunday, June 15th. the third round of the President's Trophy will be played.
