THE R.S.A. HALL
Sir, — 'Mr iSilva is to be complimented on his instructive letter re the above matter, and I should like to put forward a suggestion which may be of use. — Could not every member of the R.S.A. (and any other public-spirited resident) donate eight hours' labour to the R.S.A. committee to erect their clubrooms? I rnyself would be cnly too pleased to help in this matter, and I feel sure their are many others who would be only too willing to give their assistance. If this were done, the money already collected. should prove more than sufficient. The R.S.A. would then have a hall which could be hired for the evening, and thus pay for its own upkeep. Naturally, provision should be made for expansion in the future, when there will be a greater need, but surely |a hall slightly larger than Rickit s Hall would be all that U necessary now and for a few years to come. Surely none would begrudge the R.S.A. their own hall and clubrooms? After all, did not a grateful country promise the men of two World Wars a country for heroes to live in" and what is the building of a hall but a practical way of showing it was no idle promise? — I am etc
"SCOTIA."
