TAUPO GOLF CLUB

The first of four Stableford Bogey roundg for the Neame Trophy was played on Sunday, April 27, when 21 entries were received. The course was showing signs of responding to the recent rain, and was playing very well. The best seores handed in were: — D. J. Falkner and S. Neame 35 points each; K. E. Young and A. Graham, 33 points each; K. R. Rameka and N. George, 32 points each; 0. Wright and V. Wilson, 31 points each. On Thursday, May 1, the weather was so bad that the ladies medal round had to be postponed to May 15, when it will be played in conjunction with a Flag Match. The Tokoroa Golf Club will send its tealn to Taupo on May 11 to play the first of the two matches for the Smith Shield.
