TAUPO HYDRO-ELECTRIC SCHEME
The heavy rain, experienced in the Taupo country last week caused considerable anxiety on the site of the Taupo hydro-electric scheme at Hatepe. t The flood waters caused some scouring at the diversion wall, and progress has been slowed down as a result. The check, however, is only temporary, p,nd with the advent of fine weather the leeway should be caught up.
