TAUPO GOLF LINKS
Many Easter visitors to Taupo took advantage of the perfect weather experienced and spent their spare time on the golf course, which was rrowded on the Saturday and Sunday. Despite the fast condition of the greens, some very good scores were recorded in the matches which were arranged. The mixed Fourball Bogey, played on Sunday was won with the score of 4 up by Mrs N. George and E. ■Smith, on the count back from Mr and Mrs K. Young. On Mondiay a Mixed Fourball gStableford Bogey was played, 'and won by Mr and Mrs Hullten, with 43 points. Mrs Colbeck and Mr fftephenson were the runners-up, with 42 points. On Thursday, April 17th. the Ladies played the first round of the Foursome Cup the results were: — Mrs Young and Mrs Hullten beat Mrs Colbeck and Mrs Graham, 2 up. Mrs Douglas and Miss Orr beat Mrs Logan and Miss McKelore, 4 and 3. Mrs Bush and Miss Reid beat Mrs George and Mrs Berggren, 6 and 5. Mrs Falkner and Miss Branson beat Mrs Vedder and Mrs Cheal, 2 «and 1. On Sunday, April 27 the first round of the Neame Trophy will be played. — t
