MISSION TO LEPERS

A HUMANITARIAN CAUSE The iMissios to Lepers is a vast Organisation working for the Control of Leprosy and the emancipation of Lepers in 25 countries throughout the world. The story of its 80 year old. fight against one of the most dreaded of all human diseases jis one of epic curage and iselfless service; and the battle is to-day b'eing crowned with success. New drugs and mefhods of administration are giving such promising results that Lepers are clamouring for admission to one of other of the Mission's 112 Homes and Hospitals. Limiting factors are t he present high cost of fhese drugs, and accommodation is totally inadequate for the numbers who beg'for treatment. The Mission is international & inter denominational in character and has its Headquarters in London. The New Zealand Auxiliary, of which the Rev Murray Feist is secretary, \a,st year contributed, per medium of contributions and 'Leper Boxes," the record amount of £30,792 for the work. Mr Feist is visiting Taupo, and will speak. in Ricfiit's Hall in the evening of April 24. He will s'how beautiful colour films of the "Fight against Leprosy." No admission ch^rge will be made, but an offering (optional) will be taken up for the work. This will be a unique oppor tunity to see and to hear a heartening and well told story.
