HARVEST THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Simday, April 6th marked the oci casion of Harvest Thanksgiving at I St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. A long table below the pulpit wgs very generously loaded with fresh produce, preserves and other non-perishable contributions. Oats, barley and corn were in evidence also. Large bowls of brilliant dahlias and geraniums added a very lively touch and the whole effect gave evidence of tlY abundant fertility with which oui country has been blessed. In the unavoidable absence of the Rev. H. W. Johnston, the service was ccnducted by Mr Osborne, headmaster of the Taupo School. On the following afternoon, all perishable produce was sold, and the proceeds of sale will be forvvarded, together with non-perishable thank offerings, for use at the Maori Girls' Hostel, Auckland.
