Brain Machine Can Sing National Anthem
Manchester University's electronic brain, claimed to be tbe most powerful "brain' V in the world, has been taught to sing "God Save the Queen!" The tuna ccmes through a loudspeaker, the Earl of Halsbury,

Lord Halsbury said he did not mean that a recording of the tune was secreted inside the "strange creature." It was given a coded version of the score, which it proceeded to interpret, and then constructed the necessary waveform to give effect to its internretation.
Lord Halsbury added that the machine could also diagnose trouble inside itself and report exactly where it had gone wrong. It was only one stage from this to a machine which would carry out an operation on itself so as to replace the faulty portion or circuit. i
