MONTHLY SESSION
The list for the monthly session of the Taupo Magistrate's Court, held on Friday, March 21 wlas a light one. Mr Harlow, S.M., presided. Stanley Wolfe Graham, convicted of having* been unlawfully on licensed premises was fined 30/-, and costs 10/-. Traffic Offences. On a charge of negligent driving on 'Kaimanawa Road on February 1 7th. last. Gordon Archibald Kent was convicted 'and fined £3, with costs 10/-. George Chase, convicted on one charge' of exceeding the maximum load permitted, was fined £2 10/-, with 12/- costs; on another charge, of driving a loaded truck without having a heavy traffic licence, he was fin^d £8 10/-, plus 10/- costs. Kenneth Ross Douglas, a'lso charged with overloading, was convicted and fined £2 10/-, and 12/- costs. The Fishing Laws. Fishing without a license eost Richard Norman Thomas a fine of £2 10/- and costs 12/-; Lester Simpson, 10/-v fine and costs 10/-; Noel W hilton Morrison, £2 and costs 10/-; " George Falklan Gardiner, 10/-, and 10/- costs; Alister McArthur, £4, and 10/- costs; Lyall McKenzie Granger, 20/-, and 10/costs. Leslie Tracy, charged with fishing from a boat not properly anchored in Waikeruru Bay, North of Acacia Bay, was convicted and fined 20/and costs 12/-. Taxation Returns. Clifton Trevor East, for failing to send in a return of income for the year ended March 31, 1949, was fined £2 and costs; Ernest Evan Owen, for failing to render returns of income over a period of years from that ended March 1947 to March 31 1950, was fined' a total of £18 10/with aggregate costs of £2. Williarn Renete for failure to render taxation return for the year ended March 31st., 1950, was fined £4 10/-, costs 14/-.
