The Taupo Town Board, in a written reply to the Ratepayers' Association on the subjeet of the R.S.A. Hall, stated: "Finality can only eventuate when the Board is satisfied with regard to the money held in trust for this purpose which qualifies for a £1 for £1 subsidy from the Government, that the cost of erectipg the hall is within the bounds -y financial obligation. Nevertheless, further negotiations are under way, and these are expected to be considered shortly."
