TAUPO WHARF.

A beautifully conditioned rainbow trout was taken on the fly from the beach opposite the Taupo Wharf about 6 p.m. on Friday last by Mr Ernest Palliser, of Wellington, who is staying at Mt. View Flats. The fish, a jack, was reminiscent of the deep bodied type familiar at peak periods in past years. When weighed' on the scales at Mr Kilford's store the fish went seven and three quarter pounds.
