BOWLS
A great day was snent bv the local bowlers last weekend. The weather was hoisterous and unpleasant, but the green fortunately was sheltered and orotected by the broom. Although the day was unfavourable all enjoyed themselves. The ladies provided morning and afternoon tea. The result of play — there were eight rinks altogether — was a convincing win for Mr J. Rowlands team which met Mr Tim Smith in the final. More gamles of this kind will be played later in the season.
