— March 12. Among those staying at the Bridge Lodge, Turangi, are Mr and Mrs T. Lower, of Eketahuna; Mr and Mrs Watson White, Eketahuna; Mr and Mrs J. V. Smith, Palmerston North; Mr H. McMannaway, Bulls; Mr H. M. Smith, Lake Alice; Mr and Mrs W. G. Lewis Wanganui; Mr and Mrs W. Toogoocf, Wellington; Mr and Mrs Pollard, Auckland; Mr and Mrs Nichol and Mr Brown, Wellington. * * m * Admiral Hicking and his feister Miss Corbett of Hamaock have refcurned to the Bridge Lodge. * * * * All are enjoying very good sport. * * * * / Mr A. E. Golding, Inspector of Moari Schools, has been staying at the Tokaanu Hotel while visiting local schools. * * sfs Mrs Roti Smallman met with a serious accident on Tuesday afternoon, when the horse she was riding reared and fell back on her. She was picked up by a passing taxi and taken to Taumarunui Hospital.
TE RANGIITA.
— March 12. There has been exceptionally good fishing both in the river and the mcuth, and quite a number of limit bags have been taken and the fish averaged 5|lbs. * * * Mr J. Orton, of Marton, caught a large rainbow, 8|lbs. | * * * * Mr J. W. Perry, Sanson, took a limit bag on March 7, with an average of 61bs.

At the annual meeting of the Tauranga - Taupo School Committee the following offieers were elected: — Chairman, Mr E. iS. Jones; secretary, Mr W. A. Spragg; treasurer, Mr Spencer; members, Mrs George Flight, Messrs Donaldson, W. Hani, G. Warrena and C. London.
