Mr Allan Wilson, Austin car agent, whose district includes both Tokaanu and Reporoa, reports that the following sales have been made since the recent opening of the agency: — Eleven A 40 Devon cars; five A 70 light deliveries; one A 40 Countryman (station wagon), and one three-ton Austin truck. * * * A Napier resident who has a holiday house in Taupo informed a TIMES representative recently that after reading & complimentary copy of the first issue he had deposited it in the Napier Museum for purpose of record. The TIMES has had numerous enquiries for copies of the first issue but none are now available. * * * Messrs L. and R. Davis have commenced work in Williams Street on a house to the order of Mr L. Stephenson. There are two bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and dinette, with a laundry and garage beneath, and construction is of the vertical battened weatherboard type.
