A Versatile Trailer for Small Farm
A new trailer, claimed to be "a more nimble and versatile form of transport than anything hitherto" has been introduced by a well-known Coventry tractor firm. It is .a 30hundredweight' rapid hydraulic tipi ping model, provided with automatic : coupling and uncoupling, and^ is very easily operated from the tractor. One important leature is that the turning circle of tractor and trailer is only 30 feet; it is possible to turn from a 9-foot wide gangway into a 9-foot wide gateway. The trailer should therefore be particularly useful for work on small farms, narrow lanes and awkward openings. Another advantage of the trailer is the new design of tipping mechanism which uses only 2| pints of oil for the complete tip of 40 degrees. The tipping mechanism is enclosed in the backbone of pressed steel while the top edge of the side is only i about. three feet from the ground. ; The low loading line thus facilitates the loading operation as well as pro- ' viding ^reater stability.
