MOTEL FOR MOTUOPA

, Plans are in hand for the construction of a motor camp at Motuopa on the lines of an American Motel. iMr W. A. Sutherland, the proprietor of the Motuopa Lodge and Store, has purchased one-and-a-half acres of land on the cliff side of the main road. It is hoped that a com. mencement will be made^in a montb or two with some of the buildings so that. a portion of the "Motel" will be open next year. The ultimate objective is to construct twelve to fifteen double unit cabins of difference sizes and with varying types of accommodation. In order to provide for campers and other s who may be prepared for different forms of self-service, sets of .sleeping gear and sets of catering equipment such as knives, forks, spoons, plates etc., will probably be available for hire on the premises if required. In later years it is proposed to provide a swimming pool in which lake vrater will be used.
