MacDonnell has returned to her home after a visit to her son Dick at Palmerston North. * * * * Miss Elwyn Johnson, of Turangi, was successful in gaining her School C-ertificate in the recent examina,tion, and is now with a firm in Wanganui. * * * Miss Martha Te Rangi, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Te Rangi, Hiirangi, who attained the honour of being dux of the Turukina Maori Girls' College last year, has been accepted as a student in the Wellington Teachers* Training CoL lege. * * * At a special meeting of the Town Board held on Priday nightj the resignation of the board*s engineer, Mr R. B. Price, was accepted with regret. Mr Price, who has accepted a position in the Tauranga district, has been on the staff of the Town Board for upwards of five years, first as Town Clerk and Engineer and latterly as Engineer. His resignation will take effect as from March 14. * * * Guests at Mount View Flats include Mr and Mrs J. Casey and family, Katikato; Mr and Mrs J. Branch and family, Tauranga; Mr and Mrs G.
