APPRECIATIONS
The spoken and written public appreciation of the advent of the Taupo News since the publishing of inaugural edition have been most. encouraging. Two exti*acts from letters received have been quoted: "Congratulations on your first issue. Best^wishes for your success." "I wish to congratulate the promoters on their enterprise, and the excellent first edition of the "Times". I also wish the company every success. From the ^Editor's old papei "The Dominion" a telegraphed personal message: "Congratulations on your return to work. Good wishes from B(omlinion to our newest Compefitor," The Waikato Independent Ltd., printers of the Taupo Times, in the editorial column of the Waikato Independent last. Wednesday, concluded its congratulations with the hope i that this newest of 240 newspapers ancl other journals regularly published in the Dominion would have long life to contribute its share to the welfare of the community of Taupo and to join with the Press as a. whole in maintainmg and enlarging the already good record of service it hokls.
