Lekus who has 8 stone 7 pounds should again race well. Equator with 8 stone' 2 pound should be there at the finish, further down the list includes horse with chances, Lucky Fox, Tamaki, Royal Fox the winner of the Thames Cup and Patuone. My selection is Equator. The second leg is the Zealander Handicap of 6 furlongs. Stanfred a winner at his last start, heads the field with 9 stone. Noble Victor with 8 stone 9 pounds, a winner at Auckland at Christmas time, must have an undeniable chance. Others who will run well include Personage, Coonbridge and Sequence.
