Fishing and Shooting From the Tauranga-Taupo Fishing lodge, Mr E. S. Jones reports: Fishing at Mission Point, Motutere has been very good over the holidays. Quite a number of limits wero taken. The Tauranga-Taupo river mouth was fair. There are no runs as yet in the river— the Camping Spots on the lake have been very popular. The annual shoot of the Tongariro Gun Club was held at Turangi on December 30. It was a very popular event, with a total entry of 35 shooters. Results: — £35 trophy : E. S. Jones (Tongariro Club) 1; R. Maher (Ohingaiti Club) 2; R. Fletcher (Hutt Club) 3. £50 Handicap — seven shooters divided.
