Manawaru Bazaar.

VERY SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. (Contributed.) The Bazaar at Manawaru, which opened on Wednesday last, proved a great success. There was a super-abundance of at tides for the sale, especially in the drapery line. The bazaar was presided over by the Rev. P. Cleary, who assisted materially in keeping things moving. Amongst other things I noticed a Christmas Tree, with a great variety of toys, etc., thereon; refreshment stall, soft diinks, afternoon tea, etc. Guessiug competitions resulted as follows : Pig presented by J. A. Vallance, 7 weeks old, actual weight, 791bs, guessed By Mr p. ffapmer ; calf presented by Mr Osborne, guessed by Mr W. He win; number of beans in a bottle, a’ctual number 266, nearest guess 375 Mbs F. Hughes,
