RULES FOR SERGT - MAJOR MAINGAY’S SHIELD. 1. To be fired for half-yearly, in the \ months of November and May, the exact J date to be fixed by Shooting Committee. Ranges 200, 500, and 600 yards, fivp ebqps at eacji with 1 sight* r optional- -- To be fired under the N,Z-D.R.F.A. rules. -J, Team to consist of five men from onch Troop; only one Sergeant allowcl in each team, the other members to be not above the rank of Corporal. 0 Teams are to bo chosen by the Troop leaders ; each Troop leader must receive at least 21 days’ notice. 0. Entrance fee of 2/6 per team will be charged to cover rang i expenses.
i 7 The shiell shall be the sole pro pertv of the Corps and cannot be won outright. In the event of the Corps disbandiug the shield shall be vested in the Borough Council in trust for competition by any Corps that may be afterwards formed in Te Aroha. 8. The shield shall be held by the Troop leader who will be responsible for keeping it in good order and returning same to O.C. Squadron immediately after the competition, uuless his troop has won ijs again. 1 1 if.
