The Irish Land Bill.

, London, October 26. The House of Lords passed the Irish Land Bill. Earl Crew declared after the amendments, introduced by Lords, the Bill was no longer the final solution of the land question as the Government had intended it to be. The safeguards introduced cause the Irish to demand further amendments. Lord Landsdowne said the Government must recollect that the Lords were asked to put into shape a measure containing an extraordinary collection of ill-thought out and imperfectly discussed proposals, based upon an attempt to include anything the Nationalists suggest.
