Manawaru Notes.

(Own Correspondent)

We were all pleased to greet our old friend, Mr H. H. Osborne, back again, after his lengthy sojourn in the Waihi Hospital. Our Sunday - school anniversary passed off nicely. I regret to state that our clergyman was conspicuous by his absence. Much credit is due to those who took the affair in hand.

The social and dance passed off all right as far as the lattendance went, but I was sorry to notice one or two visitors not as they should be. Summer is coming, and it is about time something was done to improve our main road from Osborne’s corner. What is our member doing ? He promised to have this piece of road seen to long ago, but I suppose he has forgotten all about it.
