Successful Farming.

A correspondent, signing himself “'Waitoa,” writes as follows to the New Zealand Herald “ Under the above heading I notice in the Herald of September 29, from your Pukekohe correspondent, how a Mr William Adams made £llsO 7s 4d off 125 acres of land. I have not the slightest doubt it was made off this particular farm, but would like, for the benefit of struggling farmers, to know what it cost him for labour, manure, etc., etc., to produce the above sum. Another reason for wishing to see his expenditure stated is in case Mr Fowlds, or some of our other legislators with his peculiar views, should see and use it as a lever to add further burdens to the man on the land.”
