Bowling Notes.

In connection with the fixing of dates for inter - club matches throughout the Goldfields a meeting of delegates will be held at Paeroa at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 23rd, the date fixed for the official opening of the Paeroa green.

Our bowlers are anxiously awaiting the opening day, November Ist. Should the weather prove favourable, perhaps it will be possible to make the acquaintance of “ kitty ” a little earlier. The new bowling green appears to have completely recovered from the rough handling it received from the famous “ Dido.” The grass is growing nicely, and barring accidents the green should be playable about the end of February next. It is expected that bowling w "’l be more popular than ever this year. Our Paeroa friends indulged in a rollup the other day and the green proved in very fair order.
